Funny, when he was entrenched with the Bruins, all he did was badmouth his home town. Now that his career is coming to a close, all of a sudden it's a dream of his to play for the canucks.

I think the guy is a (frank)ing goof. I don't want him anywhere near our team.

Definitely not on board with the swap myself. If Lucic's NMC was erased, that'd be easier to swallow/keep the vomit down, especially if a pick came back with him, but would still realllllllll wish for JB to stay away.

But, JB being JB, we know he has a 7 day Viarga-binged hard on for Looch.

I vaguely remember him ripping into the city or people after he got into a fight with a guy outside a Vancouver Bar a few years back as well. Didn't his house or church or parents place get vandalized by Canuck fans once as well? I might be thinking of someone else.

Yeah, he pulled that "do you know who I am" when he was downtown causing trouble. Again, it shows his maturity level when a Stanley Cup champion is getting into tussles at the Roxy.

I do think Carol's right though, I don't think this rumor is going to go away anytime soon, especially with the comments made by both players recently, and so close together.

I imagine Benning is going to explore that trade scenario for a multitude of reasons, and it really wouldn't surprise me if it gets done.

Lucic + 8 OA for LE + 10 OA actually seems likely.

I truly believe Lucic is probably the worst skater in the NHL/AHL.

It's tough as we do need toughness in the lineup for Boeser Petey and Hughes but Lucic isn't really the answer. I'm curious to see how he would respond to Green and this line up but not worth the risk obviously.

The reasons I wouldnt' want Lucic don't have anything to do with his past altercations or incidents outside of hockey, it all has to do with the fact that our skating, and whatever line he plays on, just went down in speed and skill dramatically and will be like that for X amount of years lol.

Yea, after watching these playoffs I was definitely thinking “we just trade that slow expensive useless turd we have for an even slower and more expensive turd”

He's tough but he has the same problem as Kadri. Losses his cool and it ends up costing his own team.
