Nice piece Adam.
When the Hawks looked to be picking 10-14th, I was hoping they could land Newhook.
Now, that they are 3rd, Newhook is out of the picture. But, he looks like he could be a good find for somebody drafting in that area. Thinking Panthers or Coyotes may want to grab him where they are drafting.
(Really just hoping SOMEBODY takes him before the Habs draft...THAT would suck!) |

There are 5 I see at #3
Byram....best "D' - could be the guy
Caufield - Guy is a "Goal Machine"...BUT, not on my radar only because he is small and we already have D-cat and Kane occupying 2 of the top 6 spots. Would be just too much of the same "type". A stud though....some team will love him.
Now, MY main 3 are the centers....Cozens, Turcotte and Dach. Leaning Cozens...but, Turcotte close behind.
Looks like a draft where Top 10-12 teams all have a shot at an impact player. Gonna be interesting. |

I'm very curious as to who is "reached" for on D early on. Like how last year a lot of the defensemen were falling (Dobson, Bouchard, Smith, Miller etc.) as teams grasped for forwards. |

I think LAK jump all over Byram if Chicago takes Turcotte |

Great blog!! Interesting that all mentioned players are under 6 feet except the goalie. I know its U18 but most of them are probably done growing height wise. Just goes to show you its a game of speed and skill now. Size is just a bonus now. |

Good read, Adam! Thanks for posting and looking forward to part 2.
Karl Henriksson sounds like a more fleet of foot version of Lias Andersson. Do you think he'll be a riser on draft day or stick in that third round spot. |

What about the best of the bunch.... Alexis Lafreniere?? |

Maybe the 2nd, can't see him going higher with his size. Seems like a classic Swedish sleeper. There's been a lot. |
