In their first draft under new GM Steve Yzerman, the Detroit Red Wings went big and loaded up on defensemen.

Yzerman has proved he can operate well as a GM. I just hope he knows what the hell he is doing with this draft.

Get the Wings need D in the pipeline and time will tell if this was the right move or not but man does that 1st pick look like too much of a reach at 6 with Cousins & Zegras available. Can anyone convince me otherwise?
