Well, I can't think of any college draftee in recent memory that the Flyers were unable to sign.

Nodl, JvR, Kalinski, Parks, Ghost, Friedman, and Farabee were the only college picks of note since 2005, and the Flyers were able to sign every one of them.

Edit: Yes, Kalinski is top-7.

Our last 2 "big" free agents to go pro were Farabee and Ghost, and we got them locked up easily.

I feel good about Allison signing. If you watch any of the tape from summer camp he seems he wants to be here. Plus he’s really close with Farabee and JOB.

I could see Laczynski going UFA. The big club's depth chart is pretty much written in stone, and that's with G as a winger, and he'd be fighting Frost, Rubtsov and Vorobyev for the call-up chance.

He'd have a less obstructed path to the NHL on another team.

I think Wade will sign, but Tanner is toast.

So who thinks that Boston is posturing about starting the season without McAvoy and Carlo signed? Between Boston, Columbus and the Flyers, the Flyers seem to be in the best situation to actually wait it out and start the season without Provy signed (not that I want that to happen).

Boston needs to get a move on. If Columbus goes first, I think they will have to pay more. Columbus will go ahead and do what it takes to get Werenski signed. I can’t imagine them holding out into the season.

What is the deal with term on McAvoy? Some say definitively 1 or 2 years max, but others say McAvoy want long term and team wants a bridge.

Flyers don't have a Seth Jones or Chara/Krug to take over the minutes in a protracted holdout.

Theoretically, Sanheim might benefit from a bigger bite, and Myers could accelerate his timetable w/ more usage.... but those are pretty big ifs. Flyers would be basically riding Niskanen/Braun from the outset, and that might not be so pretty.

More ice time for Sanheim and Myers might be a blessing although I'm already expecting heavy ice time for Sanheim. I see the bigger issue as what it will do to Provorov. Hard to get it going missing training camp and games.

Especially with a new coach and system being put in.

Sanheim is entering his third season in the league. I sure hope he sees increased ice time, along with much more responsibility in all situations.

Ivan Provorov in my opinion is legit but I really wanna see Travis Sanheim get the same treatment. I think Sanheim might be legit himself.

The backend is crowded, do you see any moves in the future or are they going to still develop Myers, Morin and hold out until next season?

Magically or in someone’s fantasy Morin is already better than Hagg, so someone will take Hagg for a boat load of picks. This team couldn’t survive without Ghost. Last season proves it.

Yeah, well I’m pretty sure Werenski will be signed so my guess is Provy will follow so he wouldn’t miss time. Boston waiting is baffling to me because they have a tighter cap situation. Do they really want Werenski to set the market? (I am sure Provy does.)
