...Jesse Boulerice...NHL highlights include cross-checking Ryan Kesler in the face and getting 1-punch KO'd by Aaron Downey. |

My buddy was supposed to spar with him for MMA but got hurt. I think Brash had 1 amateur fight and wrecked the guy. |

I was looking back at the defense in Hextall's first season in charge. Kimmo was out till the trade deadline with his blood clot issues, and Coburn suffered multiple leg injuries and only played 39 games before he was moved for 1st + 3rd + Gudas.

Presumably the defense will be better this year for Fletcher's first full season as GM. |

Was that the year where everyone fell in love with Schultz for being less terrible than everyone else? |

Love is a strong word, but he did outplay the $30 million man. |

The dead cow that I ate last night could have outplayed him. |

I still remember Cote's TKO on Andre Roy who came to and had an epic meltdown!

One of my all time favorite moments for a game I attended. Roy completely lost his mind afterwards. It is possible Cote knocked it out of his head. |

Old Man Streit was one of Homer's best UFA signings. For three years he was a very useful player. |

Yup, the Flyers squeezed some decent juice out of that orange before it spoiled. |

He was, yes. But Briere was the Flyers best UFA signing. Timonen and Hartnell were technically trade acquisitions. |

Briere was especially good because the two other big UFA forwards in 2007 didn't do nearly as well as him, and they both went to the Rangers.

Briere wasn’t just Homer’s best FA signing, but one of the Flyers all time best. In fact, the only better one I can think of was Tim Kerr who was signed as an amateur FA. |

Those were the days when the NHL had it all, and was “give up your Saturday night to watch a Flyers/Rump Rangers game”!! Today’s NHL in a word....”meh”. The excitement of a real war is gone. It’s like food with no flavor. You still have to eat, but don’t enjoy it like you once did. |

And I remember at the time thinking, out of the big three, Drury, Briere, and Gomez, Briere was the one I wanted least.
I guess that is why I don't run an NHL franchise. |

@ Jagr signing, never understood why we didn't resign him. Seemed like a no-brainer and was a missed opportunity. |
