The real question: Who cares what Hans thinks? |
|
|
|
This is such a ridiculous notion - that Max Domi could ever get in the way of a Laine acquisition. Laine is a billion times more valuable. Domi would honestly be a throw-in in a Laine trade

not true at all. Domi is a major piece for Montreal moving forward....and he would be for the jets as well.. |

I don't think there is a September 31st but maybe on the EK calendar it exists |

No, it’s very true. A Laine-to-MTL trade would be something like Domi+Suzuki+1st+more
Unfortunately this trade will never happen, so there’s no way we’ll ever know

September 31 is when the Leafs will finally decide to trade Mitch Marner. It's the point of no return. They warned Marner that they're not screwing around. They said all along they are not OK with this. Marner will be traded to the Blue Jackets for Seth Jones. It's happening. More to come fro sure... |

Marner retires. The Leafs missed Eklund's deadline. - Njuice
Well you must remember that was in July when the Leafs were meeting externally on skype. But now they're really not screwing around and are meeting internally. They are not OK with meeting internally. It's Labour Day weekend and the last place the Leafs brass wants to be is meeting internally. But they still want Marner.
September 31st is the real deadline. If Marner doesn't sign with the Leafs by then, he's being traded to Columbus for Seth Jones. I called Seth externally to let him know and now he's talking to the Blue Jackets brass internally. More to come fro sure... |

Domi and a prospect at the most.

Bergy is making a big splash. Anything is possible. Domi for Laine and Connor seems likely. But not possible. Or it may be possible but not likely. |

lol. Keep Laine. He seems to be a problem with the Jets. It's not only about skills. |

Nah, you’re way off. Domi has had one good season, where he was given way too much quality ice time because there was a complete lack of talent around him. Prior to last year, he was trending towards “bust” territory. On a good team, he’s a decent second / third liner
Laine has the potential to become a generational goal-scorer. He’s already scored 44, and he’s a few years younger than Max
Only downsides to Laine are that he appears to be a bit of a wiener (but so is Domi), and he’ll cost a lot of $$$ to sign. But from a talent standpoint, he’s exponentially better than Domi
But again, this trade will never happen. Ek will continue to build on his 0 for 67,876 streak in predicting trades
There are rumours about Carolina building an offer for Laine, focused on Svechnikov and a defenseman. That’s way better than anything MTL could ever realistically offer |

Laine is an inconsistent, one dimensional player. Domi is a hard working, consistent player who could eventually be a captain of a team.
Montreal would be making a mistake doing this. Wake up, Ek. |
