have always been a fan of Asplund...thought he was gonna make the club out of camp last year...however, he struggled early with the amerks before coming on strong...if he does end up in Rochester, it will be to develop consistency and more offense (10+31 and a plus-7 in 75 games last year) on top of his strong two-way game

Is Scandella left of your list because it's not a tough call compared to the 4 you did mention? Although really, none of the four you mentioned are a tough call.

We know all of Scandella, Larsson, Girgensons, Sobotka, and Okposo are scrubs.

Do we know Thompson, Asplund, Lazar, Gilmour, and Jokiharju are already scrubs?

We do not. What is the problem with trying a potentially better option?

It's not like they'll have to show much to be better than the group we already know stinks.
