Fletcher and Vigneault have said all along they expect quite a bit of lineup and roster changes in the coming weeks. Thankfully there's a fair bit of practice time available around the first few games of the season. |

If Myers is left off the opening roster it'll probably spark outrage, but as a temporary measure I don't think it's a big deal.
Patrick and Welinski may have to go on LTIR. |

Coming out not ready to play.
What a surprising thing to have happen to this team. |

Lesson to the Flyers players, coaches and fans: Euro pro teams are a lot better than people give them credit for, especially Swiss and Swedish teams. |

Farabee (2018 #14), Bunnaman (2016 #109) and Twarynski (2016 #82) seem certain to play in the Flyers first game.
In game 2 of 17-18 they had four rookies in the lineup: Patrick, Sanheim, Hagg and Leier. |

How short is this fanbases fuse if this team comes out flat. |

Part of the changes are and will be due to the salary cap, and as of today they are still over the cap |

First time comment, long time reader. How will the buzz panic after losing to a Swiss team in a meaningless preseason game?
I will log off and listen on my phone. Thanks. |

The fans need to give this core group of players a lot of slack. They’ve been subject to a multitude of changes over the years, so it takes time to form an identity and adapt into a brand of winning hockey. It doesn’t just happen overnight.
Plus this core hasn’t played enough games together, in my opinion. If they are still struggling in March then maybe they should be criticized, but just a tiny tiny bit. |

The concern is not who they lost to. Its not that its an exhibition game. It's as Bill said, the team did not come out ready to play. If this was a one time theme you could chalk it up to "its a meaningless preseason game" BUT this was the theme all last year....slow starts.
From post game comments it wud seem the biggest culprits are JVR and Jake. |

Pre-season. win some lose some... Not to over analyze the loss... But, where is Lausanne in their season. Are they in a pre-season as well? Later in the game, the Flyers stepped it up. But, they still did not look "crisp" - passes were not clean. Almost to the point where I thought the ice was not in good shape. However, Lausanne had no problems. The passing was clean tape to tape - they looked to have been practicing for a while and familiar with the ice.

And you believe that the start of 82 game season will alleviate this? |

And...
People will complain who played and how much ice time they were given. That's how it works around here. |

Within hockey circles, Ho Sang is almost universally considered almost uncoachable and a difficult teammate to play with. Sprong is regarded as a one-trick pony. |

Lausanne is a couple weeks into their regular season. |
