The more I watch the Hedman and Cernak pairing, the more I like it. They look pretty good together and they combine for a massive amount of size on the blue-line. Nobody is going to bully around that pairing, and Cernak is willing to throw the gloves. Winner winner chicken dinner on that pairing.
McDonagh and Shattenkirk also looked good. Shattenkirk needs somebody like McD to clean up his defensive lapses because Shatty is like having a forward on defense. As long as he keeps lighting the lamp, I'll give him a glad pass on his defensive screw-ups.
Sergachev terrifies me. He's a heart attack on skates. When he's free to wheel around, he's fun to watch and he creates opportunities. When he's under pressure, he's scary to watch. He gets stripped of the puck easily, makes a bone-headed pass, or gets tied up and his partner (poor Coburn) has to come bail him out.
Still too many penalties. Still too many hail mary passes to exit the D-zone. And the 4th line is still a hot mess.

Definitely Shatty is a Dwinger and being with Mcdonagh is a great idea. He’s always had to be protected...see time in St. Louis
Sergachev trade is starting to look pretty even. Drouin has been great for Habs this season. Still wish S Jones was Yzermans pick but he struck out in first round more often than not.
Cernak is good for Hedman as he will bail out his miscues. Looking better.
