Better effort.

Point is clearly still getting his game timing back. All good. Game 1 was all adrenaline. He'll get there.

Killorn is playing to his potential. But sadly, he does this, then disappears for 20 games. Keep it consistent, bud.

Sergy... eh... is anyone else thinking his potential ask for a contract extension is going to be, simply put, not worth it?

I just don't know what he's going to be yet. An all-rounder? A pure offensive MAB type?

Anyway... it was nice to see Coop adjust a bit for once. Anyone else have the feeling, had we lost last night, Cooper was going to be on notice?

Yay! Cooper mixed up the lines. Credit to him for finally mixing things up a bit.

Let's keep mixing it up - keep the other teams guessing.

Get Joseph off the top line. The kid has stone hands. Sure, he has great hustle and speed, but we need somebody with better hands to fly wingman with Stamkos. Joseph is the not the best passer or shooter, and he seems an odd combination to play on the top line.

Jarry was stellar, but this game was far too close considering that half of the Penguins roster was hurt and Jack Johnson was on the ice for more than 10 minutes. If the Bolts barely won this game, then there is still more work to do.

Point needs to pick up his play. But, man....Stamkos has played well every time I have seen him this year (3 or 4 games). He looks to be on top of his game early!

Agree on Point. He'll get rolling consistently again.

KIllorn - also agree. Hopefully he doesn't vanish from the scoresheet until December.

Sergachev will likely get offered a bridge deal. If he wants an astronomical sum, then trade him. The Bolts could live without him with what he currently brings. If he continues to grow, then he might be worth every penny he wants - but he isn't right now. I think he will eventually develop into a Russian version of Shattenkirk - offensively gifted and almost like having a forward on defense. (and also defensively questionable). I don't seem him becoming a Russian Hedman.

I'd like to think Cooper is feeling a little pressure - he should.

Stamkos been the best Lightning player hands down all season so far, its not really close either. He has taken his own message seriously about this year.

Agreed. It's good to see the old Stamkos back. Last season and this year is the best he's looked since his injuries. Those weren't the kind of injuries you just bounce back quickly from, no matter how young you are. It took some time.

Stamkos is earning that C every game this year, so far.

Good on 'em.

Yzerman should have taken Seth Jones instead of Drouin...

Just what bolts need is another forward that doesn’t know how to play in his own end.

Lightning deserved that loss.

Too many men on the ice in OT? Is this amateur hour?

Teams have passed Toronto n Tampa. No longer is Tampa the best team, especially with that D Corp and lazy forward group. Toronto has a mess on D as well n lazy forwards.
