Again, the Sabres won games because they were good on the PP early on. Unsustainably good.
The Sabres penalty kill is losing them games right now because they have been unsustainably bad.
So what they’ve taken in points early on from PP success they’ve given back in P.K. failures.
What’s been constant, yet again is the inability to be the better team 5 on 5 - sbroads24
Didn't you just say 14th in 5v5? I mean, I'm not math major, but 16 teams make the playoffs, and if it eventually balances out as you say... I think they've been considerably better 5v5 just by how they look. Last year during the ten game streak they looked like they got dominated, yet won. This year it's way more balanced, and dare I say the Sabres look to have dominated some of their own but lost? I agree that there's something amiss, but I believe what it is is that they have been consistently inconsistent. And when they learn to play consistent they may be surprised at the results. But I'm just a guy who tries to see the glass half full.

I'm waiting for some more Krueger magic.
It is largely the same forward ranks who are not scoring.
Magic is the only solution they subscribe to apparently.
1- is Granato feeling better? Will he be back any time soon and is he going to be in charge of the pk or pp? Looked ok start of the season, maybe tails is over his head? But I am not sure Granato’s responsibilities or speciality....
2- do face offs matter
3- is it a leadership issue or not enough talent issue? Too much of the same up front with the same results?
After last night I’ve joined Hommie in the clown car. I’m sick of seeing the same faces with the same results.... start moving stiffs out...

1 - I do not have an answer here.
2 - Yes. In my humble opinion. Having the puck is better than chasing.
3 - I think both. Our best "vets" to lead are Okposo, Bogo, and Hutton. Talent wise, not much has changed. So I think there needs to be an influx of proven talent rather than what we currently see on a nightly basis.

Yes faceoff's matter, you have the puck more then your opponent, how many goals have we seen scored on us off us losing a faceoff
