In my opinion Bennett kinda is what he is at this point. But he is a necessity the club needs he should not be traded. Perfect 3 line player Looking back at it. If the flames had Edmonton’s pick that year, of the draft the flames I think still would have picked Bennett over draisaitl. ☹️ If you want to trade someone I would throw gaudreau’s name out there. And see what teams are willing to give up for him. And this is why! You can thank the avalanche for showing the rest of the league how to play agents not only the team but moreover how to play agents Jenny. And both Johnny and the team haven’t responded or adapted on how the other teams playing agents them. (That is a coaches thing) but also on the player, and gaudreau doesn’t seem to know how to change his game. It’s not a lot but he needs to tweak it so he can get more space out there, if that means dumping the puck in the O zone a little More, stop trying to stick handle threw 3~4 players all the time and dish it to you’re teammates quicker. stop trying to thread a pass there 6 sets of legs and 3 stick. Shoot more It kinda goes on and on.

Really hope something goes up for the Flames

Personally I would say the flames are lacking 1st line talent. Gaudreau is a star player but his game is one dimensional. As much as I’m a fan of Monahan I don’t think he is a #1centre in the nhl or at least a tandem of him and backlund don’t scream contender. Also whenever they split him and Johnny up the results are terrible to further prove my point.

I wouldn’t trade Bennett for the sake of trading him. While he isn’t the offensive dynamo we wanted him to be. His physicality is something this team doesn’t have much of already. Frolik on the other hand I could see being moved once czarnik comes back. And honestly I’m a fan of Brodie but if it wasn’t for his episode last week I think Elliot would have mentioned the possibility of moving him on the broadcast.

Were past the quarter point of the season its time to call a spade a spade.
This team is not very good and is going to be hard pressed to make the playoffs.
Most of the players have regressed this year and its very concerning.
Pretty difficult to make a good trade when your guys are playing like crap!

When Gaudreau is on he’s an awesome talent, just hasn’t been on enough this year.
This team has played very inconsistent since the all star break last year. Has Peters lost his team? I’m a big fan of his but if he can’t right the ship then toss him overboard. Would love to see some youth called up, more enthusiasm!
Trade is definitely needed!

Package Brodie Frolik janko and see what happens even if it’s only pics and cap relief back then fill holes with gawden Dube and ruzuka or Phillips

Ive heard way worse. Bennett is a big no but maybe Janko & your 3rd back for him, although Neal has come back down to earth & that 3rd isnt in the bag yet

I would love to see Tre target Josh Anderson from Columbus, 6'3" 230lbs, he's a big boy we need in the middle of our lineup & is struggling for points like Janko. Janko + for him. Would love to go after Jenner in that deal as well. Wonder what it would take.

I’m going to take this in a different direction. Has anybody noticed how bad their shot accuracy has been lately?! So many missed open or half open nets it’s not funny. So many times they miss the net entirely from 20 feet away. I propose they bring in a new shooting coach with some staff and really start analyzing and working on accuracy every practice. See, we do get shooting chances, we just miss the net so fricken much it’s impossible to win most nights.

Hell, maybe even try a sports psychologist, get them to relax and quit gripping the stick so much, get them to mentally calm down, see plays and quit forcing stupid passes.

Maybe I’m talking out of my asš here, but if they can’t put it in a 4x6 hole consistently, we’re going to continue down this road.

Agreed it’s pretty sad watching a NHL team miss the net as well as not able to make 10 foot pass it’s embarrassing!!!

After beating given to them by AV's players themselves realize they can't win it all with this core? Perhaps best to accept reality with all players being on block except Chucky? If Kadri had come over as legit #2C, maybe different feeling from players re chances re CUP win? Not GM's fault Kadri didn't say yes to trade....
