I made sure he was appropriately camouflaged. His tallywacker is fully blurred. Thankfully, in 7's case, very little blurring was required. |

I'm cool with all of this...the combos, the probable scratches, and Eberle on the third line until he gets himself in gear. Lee-Barzal-Bailey looked good when Eberle was hurt and looked like the best line on the ice when they were put back together last game. I know Bailey's the "swiss army knife" or whatever, but he's looked kind of lost bouncing around the bottom six since Eberle's been back. |

interesting how many more games they will give Koiv at Center. He hasn't really done anything too exceptional and they have a few kids I would like to see in that spot (Fritz, Bardreau, or Jobst. |

Gotta say Jobst looked real good in camp. Would like to see him get the nod and bring that same tenacity he had in September. |

Along with eberle looking lost completely so yeah a switch is welcomed imo. |

Bardreau was hurt...might still be. Fritz is out long term. Jobst is 2-2-4 in 18 games and didn't stand out at all in the three or so BPort games I watched earlier in the season. |

The Isles haven't filled the hole at 3C left by Filppula's departure. Brassard is turning into a pretty good wing, but wasn't good at C. Of the healthy guys, Koivula seems like the best alternative, and deserves more time. Maybe a good 3C will fall into Lou's lap, and I'm sure he's searching for one, but for now the choices are limited. |

Yep. Little glimpses of Koivula doing something than he kind of vanishes for 3/4’s of the game. With that said he’s not standing out for the wrong reasons which I’m sure that’s 99% of what Trotz is more focused on and that’s why he’s still there. If he were a liability someone else would be in his place already. |

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. I think Bardreau showed more than Koivula has, but he got hurt and wasn't available. Koivula's been an interesting player for Bridgeport since last season...always in the right spot, decent offensive flashes, and he's looked calm even though he's adjusting to the North America game and a new and tougher position. I'm not surprised he's getting a good look. I don't think he's been all that impressive so far in the NHL, but they might as well see what he's got while he's here. |

I am concerned that this could be a trap game. If just a few guys think they don’t have to play hard tonight, because the Wings have the worst record in the NHL, the Islanders could end up on the wrong side of the score. In Trotz We Trust. LGI! |
