Just Based on TJ’s post from previous blog, if the league does decide to temporarily suspend play and pick up where the standings left off, they will represent the playoffs as the point system is currently constituted. I can’t imagine the NHL would all of a sudden decide this is the time to enact a percentage point system. |

I think they would have to do a percentage, because not all teams played the same amount of games |

Well ---- if this is really our last game of the season, I would have to consider it a successful one even if we don't get into abbreviated playoffs.
So many guys had career years:
Breadman laid to rest any concerns that he could play in NY and his contract did not burden him
Mika is a true number one center
Shesty is the number one goalie for the foreseeable future
Tony D'Angelo is a true offensive force from the back line
Adam Fox has the potential to be a star NHL player if he continues his rise
We have 2 first round picks in what is expected to be an excellent, deep draft.
We are in decent shape cap-wise. On and on --- it was a VERY good year! |

The tremendously vast majority that do contact the virus, will have a basically routine illness, which will disappear in a matter of days.
It bothers me when the media claims 1000 cases have tested positive, but 999 of them hardly know they have it. This is a very dangerous bug for the elderly and people with preexsisting conditions.
My hope is, the people who are making the decisions to stop, close and end the things that make life tolerable, know what their doing.
I truly hope the cure is not worse than the illness. |

Typical political posturing. Yes , it should be concerning, and precautions should be taken, but it is getting to become ridiculous! Local Costco out of TP |

I’m in my upper 60’s and I relative good shape. I’m more worried about getting it and passing it on to others in my family. My mother- in-law has heart and respiratory issues. My sister - in law has ocpd from previously smoking. My mother is 96 so obviously not the strongest person going. So why people don’t think it that’s big of a deal I say you may be underestimating what is going on |

Swine flu had a death rate of 0.02% (lower than corona)

Research for yourself. This is warranted.
Not to mention, the US response has been incredibly delayed and inadequate |

There are only 1k cases confirmed because we do not have nearly enough testing kits to confirm more cases. As for 99% having little to no symptoms I’m not sure where you’re getting that from. Dozens have died already. It ripped through a nursing home in Washington |

The problem is they may not have enough time to get all the games in because who knows when it’s gonna be “safe” to play again🤷🏻♂️
Having a cup champ is the most important thing and they’ll be willing to do whatever that takes to have one I would assume. And it probably needs to be won before July 31, at the absolute latest for teams to have enough recoup time.. They have to worry about next season too and they in no way shape of form wanna have two seasons interrupted by this
They also we’re talking about having each divisions top 3 make it in and 7-8-9-10 play one game play ins, then you’ll face Boston, Wash, etc. I think that’s fairest thing to do. Habs would be left out tho and that could cause issues lol
All in all the NHL and NBA have epic cluster(frank)s on their hands

Wrong. Death rate will go down as virus progresses, and will be about the dame as Bird Flu and Swine flu. Both had similar death rates as Corona virus the first few months as well, especially in America where health care, contrary to what many in media says, is superior to the rest of the world |

Look above. I edited my post, AND America's response to Swine flu was in line with what is being done now... without the Media's influence to hysteria
This isn't anyones fault and like previous viruses, it will be forgotten in a few months when summer rolls in. Corona doesn't hold up wellnin high temps and sunlight |

I hate politics..like really bad i hate them...and it’s because BOTH sides don’t have a clue what the (frank) they’re doing. All they wanna do is fight like school kids and nothing gets solved, and only causes animosity . As someone like me who can’t stand politics, I hope this new virus can get the powers that be on the same page for once.
And if you think I’m a dyck for not being on either side, you can suck it and I’ll start my own political party I’ll call it the Common Sense party because that’s what is lacking...and we are yellow |

It will go down to the bird flu and swine flu levels based on what information? And America having the best healthcare based on what information? The WHO disagrees on both |
