@ Vantel -
Truthfully I am not too concerned . It is more water cooler talk for me.
I first of all think if Canucks truly want a first round pick they have the assets to make a trade.
I also feel Podkolzen will be ready 2021 so skipping one year is not a big deal .
Last year was also called a deep draft and I have not seen a real impact player yet. There was good players obviously but not game changers.
- VANTEL
I think teams that gave out picks for a shot will regret it, but only a little. Tampa, Carolina etc.
I wonder what the NHL’s drop dead date is? Like, when would they publicly say (frank) it and start planning for next year? There are so many other moving parts, like the draft and free agency, training camp, ticket sales (season and single game) |

@RC
True enough about development time although I would still debate Jakes potential (joking)
I consider us a team that for many years have been like the SJ Sharks
In 2003 they drafted Milan Michalek who played who played basically 4 years for them and scored around 90 goals and Steve Bernier who played 3 years there and scored 42 goals
Both those players were traded and years after they picked up Brett Burns from the same draft.
I know most will think I am high but I think PodK should have been drafted third . What me miss out in this years draft we can still make up for. I think Miller was worth the first round pick .
I would like to see Benning make a trade for a young D , Ristolainen still comes to mind or another high ranked RHD .
I know I don't have to tell you but I do think there is more than one way to get things done. I don't mind missing a year at the draft if we get production on the first line right away. |

Not Canuck fans but Flyers we’re poised to hoist the cup. You should be pissed. These chances don’t come along very often. |

I seen about an hour ago that the number of cases and deaths in the states is climbing so I don't know what the return date if any this year.
I should go read Carols blog now

That stick clap at 7 is a wonderful idea.
I was on the phone with my daughter in law about 30 minutes ago. She works in the ER and I made sure I told her how incredibly proud I am of her for her bravery.
She got a little misty and really appreciated hearing it. |

Carol Schram: Travis Green is itching to exercise his coaching muscles during NHL pause
With the NHL's "pause" in the 2019-20 season now stretching into a third week, Vancouver Canucks coach Travis Green is starting to find ways to use his time to hone his craft, while players around the league are trying to find ways to optimize their workouts with no clear return date on the calendar. - Carol Schram
The Tiger King documentary is well done but again it’s another example of a sick American society. |

People are wearing diapers on their faces now as substitute for masks.
Thought people only did that in here to contain the verbal diarrhoea. |

Just caught the tail end of an interview on team 1040 with Donnie and Moj, whoever they were interviewing, from the league or PA, said compliance buyouts are not something that’s being looked at.
Edit: it was Donald Fehr. |

You should ALWAYS have a first round pick unless you’re competing, with a legitimate chance, for the Stanley Cup. Words to live by |

On average about 3 first round picks get moved every year. |

Our office first aid room was robbed of its supplies.
Fraser Health is forced to reuse PPE equipment to ensure we can have supplies to see us through this.
I just sent eight PO# requests to Procurement before tomorrow’s deadline (submittal date was extended from 16th to 27th to meet fiscal year end commitments).
I’m sure I just broke some Buyer’s spirit. |
