Carol Schram: Saturday Canucks rewind game goes back to 2011 and Goldobin signs in KHL Sportsnet will be re-broadcasting the fifth game of the 2011 Western Conference final between the San Jose Sharks and Vancouver Canucks on Saturday, plus some talk on Jim Robson and Tom Larscheid, Tyler Toffoli, J.T. Miller and Nikolay Goldobin, who's taking his services to CSKA Moscow of the KHL.

Thanks Carol, we were getting on a roll with the old vs the new management. Be fun to compare the era’s even though the next guy always inherits pieces from his predecessor.

The “process” brings out conversation, which is good. No one ever learns anything when life is easy, difficult times forces your character, or lack of, to the surface.

One day we’ll climb that hill again and the GM that doesn’t it can thank Benning for his drafting and losing.

Going to miss Goldy’s goofy smile, but glad this organization can finally start separating the wheat from the chaff.

I think Benning’s greatest contribution will have been his ability to unite and get the amateur scouts on the same page.

If only he could do the same for the pro scouts.

Toffoli thinks coaching staff was awesome. That should go over well here.

I hope this Goldobin memorial picks up speed. Twitter is doing it's share but in here little anger.

We did let another prospect walk for nothing or are we saving that anger for when Tanev walks?

Oh NOOOOOOO! We lost an offensive minded prospect for nothing!!!! THAT BASTARD BENNING!!!!!

Except that he had multiple chances when our team had no offensive talent save for Horvat and Boeser and couldn't hack it then, nor stay with the team when he was on the 1st line with Petey and Boeser for a significant stretch. And we put him on waivers multiple times and nobody picked him up and so... yeah, lost him for nothing when we essentially got him for nothing to the KHL where he'll probably do ok but not great since he refuses to do anything but hang out at the red line like a goal suck looking for the breakaway pass.

His offensive abilities never came to the surface in the NHL, too passive, he’ll be perfect for the KHL.

Firstly, I believe he was only on waivers once. Secondly, you seem to be getting awfully worked up over nothing. It will be ok, you can relax.

You say it’s sarcasm, but there was a lot of emotion. Just chill, nobody cares about Goldy except DCT and @RD.
