Carol wasn't Lu lights out for that entire series or am i misremembering? - golfingsince
My main memory was of the twins being really offensively dominant in that series, and the power play being very strong.
Considering how well he played in that Game 5, I didn't feel like Luongo got as much love from the broadcast team as he deserved — although he was named first star when all was said and done.
Thanks Carol.
I have never liked when Bettman or Daly, announce projected cap for the following season, before the season is finished.
Hopefully they learn from this.

Just found it
Game 1 27/29
Game 2 28/31
Game 3 34/38
Game 4 33/35
So basically .917 sp before game 5, solid for sure but not spectacular unless the shot quality was very high.
I remember the Canucks getting a lot of PP looks, and Salo unloading bomb after bomb. Not game 5 maybe, but didn’t they get an unusual number of 5 on 3’s?
Also, not to keep harping on the Goldy situation, but I believe that if the Canucks offer a QO and Goldy signs in the KHL they would retain his rights. But... I think he now Has arbitration rights, so they might not want to risk an award that would have salary cap implications of Goldy was assigned to the AHL.
You should go let your little buddy know that he missed game 7 vs the Bruins. - 1970vintage
My buddy, Ontario slimebag retired Navy puke, lol, had the nerve to text me that he was enjoying the Canucks getting beaten by the Bruins in games six and seven on Sportsnet.
I told him I’m glad he got to see what four rounds of playoffs felt like because his beloved Leafs have never played past three. God I hate the Leafs and their (frank)ed up fans.

Other than that he’s a good friend - LeftCoaster
I don’t mind Bruins fans, I have a few. I also have a few Leaf fan friends. I just don’t talk hockey with them...
Hey Makita- it’s not just me. As pointed out in the blog, Bill Daily is concerned about stadium crowds, and the owner of the St. Louis Blues is also considering what will need to happen to get back to sports as entertainment.
St. Louis Blues owner Tom Stillman said on Monday he won’t open their arena for fans unless it's certain the team can provide a “safe and healthy environment” for them after the COVID-19 pandemic. “I can’t imagine the army of cleaning folks that are going to be around when we start up, and I’m sure it’ll be a constant cleaning [that] never stops through games," he said on a video chat with the Blues. "I want to assure people that we’re not going to do anything unless it’s safe for fans.”

Well done Carol.
Watched the game as well sure was nice to re-watch Burrows and how effective he was at his peak. Plus Torres and Lappy running around bashing bodies before AV shut them down in the finals. That truly was a special team and time. Too bad Lou didn't play vs BOS like he did vs SJ. Is what it is.

“@HalfordTSN drops the controversial opinion that, while Trevor Linden is an icon in Vancouver, the #Canucks could have done better in 1988 given the other players who went later in the draft“
TSN radio.....the gist of what he’s saying is Trevor Linden wasn’t a bad pick, but there were better players out there. He goes on to explain that the Canucks could conceivably have picked the best two players in consecutive drafts, 2017 & 2018, Pettersson & Q. Hughes, something that’s rarely been done before.
He says Pittsburgh almost did it with Malkin and Crosby and Chicago did it with Toews and Kane.

Oh, I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was at my sons little league game, doing the score keeping, announcing in the booth above the field. Updating the score between innings

As the days get warmer and the pandemic subsides I can see some pushback from the NHLPA.
