It really depends on who they put on his line. If they feel compelled to keep Carter in the top six and put Kempe and Carter with Vilardi, then I think Frk is going to have a hard time scoring. That would leave him with coupled with two of Moore, Lizotte, Amadio, and Grundstrom.

If they continue with the Kempe-Vilardi-Frk line (including on the power play), then I can see him getting 25 goals, otherwise I have him pegged for 10-15.

He should've played all of last (this?) season with the big club, IMO. That's what I think that he was hoping to do, as well, when he first signed, so I was surprised when he signed that extension after spending most of the year in the AHL, instead.

He was certainly skilled enough to play the entire season in the NHL, but I'm actually quite content with him spending most of the season in the AHL and building chemistry with Vilardi. When they were both called up, they continued that chemistry and had solid production together in the final weeks of the season. If he had spent the entire season playing on a line with Lizotte and Clifford/Moore (for example), he wouldn't have done so well with Vilardi there at the end, IMO.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. He's going to be a solid 20-30 goal guy in the NHL. He's starting to figure it out. His shot is literally one of the hardest in the NHL and as this guy builds confidence he's only going to improve. He's a top 9 guy. He won't drive a line but he will bury them. The powerplay will be his bread and butter but that's ok.

As a former greasy Junior A guy, that 44% shot attempts hitting the net isn't necessarily bad. Sometimes the D actually tries to throw ankle biters if there is top notch opponents standing in front. It is a greasy form of intimidation, but it certainly works. Imagine Montreal down 5-1 in the 3rd, in a scrappy game. You think the boys don't want Shea absolutely unloading a bomb regardless who is in front? Nope, bombs away!
