Would of, Could of, Should of... Life goes on & DW has the Sharks stuck with aging players with long term contracts |

Lean times ahead for the Sharks.
The Karlsson trade at the time looked like a slam dunk win for the Sharks,
Not to distant future looks like the Senators did very well with this trade, As their future is looking up. While the Sharks will continue to plummet with aging veterans. While the luxury of hindsight says they should have made "different" roster changes, I don't think you can really blame them for going all in with their roster at the time. |

I think DW will trade the first and/or second round picks for Georgiev (Rangers) and Kasperi Kapanen (Toronto). I'm fine with flipping those picks for YOUNG NHL ready players. Skip developing young probably-players, for 2 NHL ready players. That gives Melnichuk time to work with Nabby on his NA game. |

I’m not so sure you could look at this season as an indication of things to come for the Sharks. A lot of things didn’t go their way. They had down years by almost every player, Karlsson went down when he was heating up, injuries to other key players.
Let’s be real though, the biggest issue is in net, and it’s been that way for a while. Once Wilson resolves that issue, I’m pretty confident they’ll bounce back, regardless of how old the team is.
