Carol Schram: Canucks get set to scrimmage as training camp hits Day 4, Rathbone signs
Brandon Sutter and Micheal Ferland are not expected to play on Thursday night, as the Vancouver Canucks get set to scrimmage in a game-like situation at Rogers Arena. Plus, the Canucks sign prospect Jack Rathbone, defenseman Nikita Tryamkin decides to stay in Russia and Quinn Hughes is officially a Calder Trophy finalist.
Since he cannot play til next season that was a big factor. More competition & too much is up in the air. I’m guessing he wanted too much & a 1-way deal. There was no need for JB to get a deal done now.
Trade Tryamkin, take what we can get for him and be done with it. I hate entitled players. Can someone tell me why he deserves this type of contract as I think this kid is a bum.
