Bottom line, Chucky finished his check on Scheifele twice to start the period and Scheifele turned away to not be finished a 3rd time and fell awkwardly. Tough injury but that's hockey.

The one stat that all Jets Nation should be concerned about is 0. Nikolai Ehlers now has 0 goals in 22 playoff/in games. He's been coached by Maurice this entire time.

I am curious to know whether this is an Ehlers problem or how Ehlers is coached problem. Only way to find out is by either trading him, or changing the coach.

This is why, although the Stanley Cup is the greatest, I enjoy March Madness. Especially the first two real days after the play-in. Just non stop gorging on the game.

Looking at the replay a bunch of times, there's a slo-mo shot of the play from the side view where you see them going into the boards. You can see that Tkachuck never looks down at Scheifele's legs. He had his head up the whole time. It would take some next level devious skill to no look blade the back of someone's calf at full speed. I really don't see how it was on purpose, but I understand why the Jets would be pissed. It's an emotional game and Tkachuk is a dirty player, just not in this instance.
