Good luck in round one.
Shouldn't you be on Flyers blog getting excited for.the playoffs? |

If we win the lottery I’m on board with trading Ottawa for 3 & 5. I don’t think LA would have enough sweeteners for me to move from 1 to 2 though
Having picks 3,5 and the Canes pick (16-31) would be incredible to add to all the 1sts we’ve acquired over the last 4-5 years
Gauthier & Howden (2016)
Andersson & Chytil (2017)
Kravtsov, Miller, Lundkvist (2018)
Kakko (2019)
Picks 3,5, & Canes pick (2020)

I’m against trading for 3 and 5. Either keep #1 or trade it to LA for #2. If we get it though I would want to keep it. |

I don’t think Ottawa makes that trade. They’ll be perfectly happy taking Byfield and someone like Holtz, Raymond or Perfetti.
The Sens seem to be in a pretty good place for the 1st round
But if I were you guys and it was offered, sure! Byfield (or maybe Stützle if the Kings pass) and back it up with Drysdale or Sandstom on defense all day. The Rangers are already amidst a good rebuild. Those two would set you up for quite awhile with what you’ve already amassed. |

I think you have to add to the first pick to get 3 & 5... Stutzle and the options at 5 are not a joke either. It has been well documented in papers that picks 3 & 5 are together worth much more than number 1.
Don't think it's a remote possibility this will happen. |

This is why the Rangers never get nice things. If we get the number 1 pick everyone wants to trade it lol. Yea we got no chance now |

Rangers have assets, meaning picks, to trade with the first pick to try and make a deal happen, if they wanted. Part of that may depend on where the Carolina pick is and they also have picks 75, 84, 106, 137, 168, 199, 203 and 204. New York could try a package to get both. But, I agree highly unlikely, though it does depend on how Ottawa rates Lafrienere compared to the other prospects at the top of the draft. |

I think it's just something to talk about
if we win the lottery, I'd bet the house we'd keep the pick |

I am stressing out over this tonight. I am 99% sure the card will flip and it will be either Pitt or Toronto. It could be game changing to get lucky just once, just once and have it be the Rangers |

honestly, it stresses me out so much that Pittsburgh or Toronto could win this, or Edmonton, I think I'd be willing to make a deal that none of us win it and Nashville or Winnipeg wins it |

Yea Edmonton would bug me, but at least they are out west. If Pitt or Toronto win, that would be some BS. Hoping for the best |

Even if we don't win the lottery I wouldn't mind trading the 10th or 11th along with Carolina's pick to Ottawa for the #5 pick |

Ottawa's got 9 picks in first 3 rounds though, I don't know if they are looking for even more, I think they are using their picks to try and move up |

crazy that the Islanders won a playoff series in Toronto before John Tavares did |

This is why I think they would be open to a 1 for 3&5 swap. They don’t need quantity... they need to make that 1st overall media splash
We are severely lacking young offensive talent and adding a combo of Byfield/Stutzle/Raymond is more appealing to me than just Lafreniere

yeah, as far as Ottawa goes I think they would do just about anything to get Lafreniere, they have a large French Canadian base of fans and it would get them revved up
I would want more than the 3 and 5 for 1st overall, I'd want Ottawa also to take on a bad contract |

The thought of rolling Panarin, Laf, and Kreider on the left side for the foreseeable future is lovely
I would think they move Kreider to the third line eventually, which really goes a long way for shaping an identity in the bottom 6.
If they deal Tony for a 2c, resign Strome, resign Fast, we could see something like:
Panarin Zib Buch
Laf 2c Kakko
Kreider Strome Fast

Very True. The only one we could send would be Smith and I think Ottawa would definitely jump at that offer still. There’s no way Hank or Staal waive their NMCs tho.

They didn't trade the #2 overall last year, I doubt they'd even think about trading the orgs FIRST EVER #1 overall |

I just saw that Eklund has the Devils going after Lundqvist, that's funny
I could see him signing there if he insists on playing after his contract is up, he isn't going to want to move, that's always been the reason why he doesn't want to waive the NMC in the first place |
