Botts (frank)ed that up, should have never tried to get Kubalik in the deal.

he is literally one of the top 2 or 3 prospects already drafted in the nhl not playing with the big club

Re Monahan,
I'm not on board with trading the 8-OA for him, nor Cozens either.
Adams has to push back on that hard, walk away if necessary.
An alternate package needs to be floated that retains those 2 pieces from among:
Mojo, Risto, Montour, Miller, Mitts, Tage, 2021-1st, Borgen...even Sam, but then the + is limited.

At the same time, I'm reflecting on the rumor of weeks ago that a deal for a 2C and a Top 6 winger was being worked on that would make fans happy ... so does that mean, to 89's point that if 8-OA is involved a bigger deal is being discussed? If so, who else would you want? Jakob Pelletier?

I believe Strome would cost less in term and cap hit to get than Monahan due to the Blackhawks having Toews and Dach at Center already along with wanting to pay and keep Kubalik.
