Pretty much how I feel about Chytil. The kid is working to round out his game. It takes a little time. Need a little patience here |

Chicago would be happy to let you try another (cheaper) Strome if you would like to go that route. |

He won't be 2nd line center ready next year but I think he can become that when he reaches his potential |

Pretty much how I feel unless he works his ass off and surprises us. |

Yea I am in no hurry to rush him. But I still want to move out Strome and find another 2C via trade. I think they have enough assets that they can make that happen. |

I agree with both you guys. Give Chytil time and he'll be good for them.
Also, when the NHL network was replaying games before the playoffs, I caught the game against the Canes in November where Chytil played with Buch and Kreider. That line was incredibly noticeable all night. I had forgotten how good they were together.
If they can have him play with some veterans, I think his game will improve even faster.

Good point too. He was playing on a 3rd line that was just a mish mash of players all year |

Dealing Strome also lessens the blow of trading assets for a 2C, too. |

Like we said the other day,
Kreider/Chytil/Fast would be a great forechecking with skill 3rd line!! |

Wait I thought we were Barkov? Let's just get both and put them on a line together so we can listen to Sam try and get the names right. Give them visually similar numbers too like 86 and 88 |

I believe the answer to this is a hard no, but he'll certainly have the talent on his wings to make a huge jump, much like Strome did this year. But I think Nate Thompson would be able to put up 40+ pts with NYR wing talent, even without Lafreniere. So in the interest of flat capping it, I say give it a try. IMO Rangers need at least one more year to offload sad contracts before they can begin steamrollering people. |

Yeah man, it was pretty ugly over there. Good on ya for trying.
In terms of the new question, it’s an unknown. I don’t think we’ve seem him at that level yet, but, it could develop. |

I hope Chytil stays as our 3rd line center for the upcoming season. I don't think he is a winger so I want to see them keep him in the middle.
I really like the idea of a kid line: Lafreniere - Chytil - Gautier.
They can grow together. We will see! |

This scares the crap out of me.
Not only is it a defensive liability, the expectations for all would be astronomical. It's setting them up to fail. It's a role-less third line that good teams will target. |

Agreed. Chytil and Lafraniere need vets on their lines |

As long as Chytil's face off % hovers below 40%, it is impossible to see him as 2C at any point in the future.
If it will cost the Rangers too much to keep Strome (more than say 5-5.5M per) for one or two years, they need to package a few assets to get a 2C.
If Chytil wants to be 2C, he needs to earn it.
