Minnesota retained 50% of the salary in the trade so he's slightly higher than what Dell was paid last year plus we need a goalie to expose in the Expansion Draft. Given that the Vegas Expansion Draft was held before Free Agency Day in 2017, this gives Doug the room to not expose one of the younger prospects.
Good trade for Donato because you just may see Marleau back in #12 for the Sharks this year, depending on how things shake out in the next couple of weeks |
