I don't understand why the Krug rumors persist at all! Why would the Rangers sign a softer, older defenseman in Krug rather than Tony D'Angelo? Makes ZERO sense!

Going to be a fun week! LETS GO RANGERS!!

I think the thought is they would sign both, Krug to partner with Trouba and Deangelo with Miller? Smith?

It's not too late to trade with Anaheim for Rackell and 6 OA.

Really? From a reliable source?
I am surprised by that. Simply because the Caps are not far from having to blow it up and rebuild. I would think with almost a dozen starting goalies on the move this year, they would go with someone who won't be another piece they have to replace sooner rather than later.

well, they could get assets for Tony D and then sign LHD Krug for free

that's great asset management

the next 6 years they could have Trouba and Fox playing 25 minutes a night apiece on the right side

I'm not surprised at all, in fact I called that recently. Caps aren't that far from blowing it up, so a cheap goalie like Hank as backup for a year makes sense with Holtby testing the market.

But, isn't Krug another one who is reputed to have trouble on the defensive side? We don't need to walk that path again. Firepower from the back end it not what we need. Someone to help with the 40 shots against every night would be nice.

I wonder if Washington gives Hank 2 years so they can expose him in expansion draft

Krug cant have too much trouble defensively if he plays over 20 minutes a night and the Bruins only gave up 174 goals

you pair him with Trouba or Fox and it'll be a hell of a paring

Almost have to, they can't afford to lose one of their young prospects.

I always imagined Ovechkin coming to NY, not the other way around.

You and I always agreed on that. I'd still sign Ovie at 40.
