Good choice in not resigning Daddy for $5mm a year. Those production levels came from playing on the Barkov line. Lots of time remains, while Hoffman is not that physical he brings a great dimension to the power play. Perhaps they resign or grab another solid winger with salary dumps due to salary cap.

I thought they would be able to get Daddy back on a reasonable deal. Guess the sides just couldn’t figure it out in the end.
I think Hoffman is very one dimensional, both in regular situations and on the PP. In his defense though, the PP is drawn up in a very predictable way: get the puck to Hoffman for a one-timer. That’s all teams have to look out for
