The six you mention all look to have NHL level skill sets. Good problem to have. It's a problem because their NHL time may not be as Blackhawks. And it's good because NHL caliber defensemen have great trade value.
It will all come down to chemistry and best fits on pairings, both within the team and how the pairings match up against opponents.
Let's hope they form the next charge to Cup contention! |

LOL Probably.
If everything else is the same, everyone here will live with the point shots. |

I think the last point made is the one we're all hanging our hopes on - who would have predicted Keith would become what he became before he did so. I'm pretty high on all those guys but all of them have to grow into being a top-3 d-man - none of them are there yet. At the very least none of them have an obvious barrier that would prevent them developing into a top notch NHL d-man ... so we got that going for us ... which is nice. |

Great blog, Theo!
I'm a big Mitchell fan. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do at the NHL level next year.
I'm also looking forward to Boqvist taking the next step offensively. As you mentioned, once he gains a little more confidence he could take off. |

Eh...Doc was ok, but I don’t know about that. He calls the game well but interjects a lot of rapid burst factoids. Idk, I’m lukewarm on him.
Scully was great for baseball, but he wasn’t always single sport IIRC. I know he called some college football games. Thought he did some pro too but I’d have to look that up. |

Agreed, and I’m hoping Vlasic might evolve to be Seabrookish. |

One is the kid they get in the 2021 Entry draft with others being Boqvist, Mitchell...te rest of the Lucas Carlsson, and two guys that are also comfortable on with side, Nicolas Beaudin, and Wyatt Kalynuk, and add bumper position/ defenseman Alec Regula will all be given ample chances to be players
Alex Vlasic will be afforded the time to adjust.
Wyatt Kaiser you wait for and he is our mailman, and plays similar to te smaller new age guys already close to getting auditions.
There is no Hedman in that group.
Owen Power
So long term they are one dominant big defender, and one big aggressive scoring wing from being close to being added to conversations for Stanley Cups... |

For some reason, the way he says "Power play" really grates on me. I always hear "Powher plughy." Might just be me, but it sounds weird the way he says it. |

The Boston duo was voted among the worst when the Athletic had a fan poll rating NHL announcers.
Edzo and Pat finished 9th if memory serves. |
