Jake still has a couple off seasons of upside. This is a good contract whether they keep him or as a trade chip.

One difference between JV and Gurianov is that the actual salary for Jake in year 2 is 3.4 mil while Gurianov's is 2.9. That will affect qualifying offers when the contracts are up.
