Thanks Carol.
No Canucks list is complete without Andre Boudrias, at least being an option. He was dynamite for this team back in the 70's.
Edit; not sure where the Canucks best defenseman of all-time is....Mattias Ohlund. |

Thanks Carol. Here's my favorite Canuck of all time the one that wins the Canucks the Cup. Otherwise thanks all for the memories you all gave us some moments but we deserve better as a fan base. |

Also Carol,
Brock and Elias have played less than 4 seasons each. Todd Bertuzzi was the top power forward in the game for at least 4 years.
I am not criticizing you as I doubt it is your list, but these people who come up with some of these lists, need to give their head a shake.
I am surprised Hughes wasn't on their list. |

Thanks Carol....umm, for one, no, you can’t group the Sedins into one person. Twins are people too and they have feelings ya know
Secondly, any list with a player (Pettersson) who’s played two years in the league for the Canucks is completely disingenuous in my humble opinion.
Not having Trevor Linden on your list is shocking lol, was Linden one of the better NHL players, no, obviously not, but he’s certainly top five on any all-time great Canucks list for sure.
In Linden‘s first 10 years with the Canucks he played 702 games, he scored 569 points for an average of 0.810 points per game, he had six 30 goal seasons, played in 79 playoff games and amassed 80 points in those 79 games. He was an absolute playoff warrior who lead this team within one game of the Stanley Cup.
When he came back in 2002 he was in his early 30s and obviously on the downhill side of his career, which skews his numbers, but, his first 10 years with the Canucks were top five of all-time.

Cheers Carol.
With the options provided, I’d go:
Bure, Sedin, Sedin, Luongo and Nazzy.
Bieksa is a funny add. |

Big fan.
Not one of the all 5 best Canuck imo.
If you were going by position?
Sedin-Sedin-Bure
Ohlund-Edler
Lu.
I know old timers like Snepts and some prefer Jovocop.

So going to be many takes on the question, but I take best canuck as leadership, off-ice, talent, tenure ... everything.
1. Henrik Sedin - the talent, the determination, the leadership, the off-ice
2. Trevor Linden - off-ice obviously. came back after unceremoniously being dumped. i don't think any cup losing teams will be remembered as fondly league wide as the '94 team ... it's almost as if they won
3. Markus Naslund - if west coast express could have been paired with a goalie, honestly think i these were our best teams
4. Pavel Bure - pure talent would be #1 by a mile. despite anything else, captivated the city like no other
5. Daniel Sedin - took a backseat to his brother leadership wise, but can't leave an Art Ross winner off here ... especially for this organization
No defenseman ... just none in that same ball park. Hopefully that changes with Quinn. Honourable mention Lu, but I couldn't make the case for him to bump anyone else. Feel like the shine of him got brightest after he left Van and opened up. He never should have accepted the 'C'. Management's fault, but he should have laughed it off and said thanks, but i have enough to do out there.
30's something age bias here too. |

He wasn't worth the aggravation. Easy call by them. Good to know people eventually are held accountable. NHL starting to purge that sh1te out. |

One of the things I appreciate about Benning is the mandate on hiring good people.
I know the old complaints about 'soft' Naslund or Sedin's being punching bags and whatnot, but I don't buy that.
You can call it cheesy or corny or something worse, but i admire the conviction to hire solid people and am proud with what they do for the community.
