I think we have to see what we have in Svech to start with. Personally it's likely leaving the porch light on for Jimmy Hoffa. Fans forget that Svech was on the fence to make the Red Wings roster before his injury. His injury has literally kept him on the team. Mostly in Grand Rapids.

It's time to $hit or get off the pot Svech. You were drafted almost 6 years ago. You don't get to stay in the NHL just because you were a first round pick, work hard and have a great attitude. Your last name is Svechnikov but that shouldn't keep you in the NHL either.

They can't recall some of the players in the Swedish league,
they are to play out the season there. They have no out clauses

I can only give my opinion, but his intensity just isn’t there sometimes. He has some good tools, but consistency is an issue.

He put on some muscle and he lost some speed. I'm still waiting to see the "high hockey IQ" Draper said he had when Holland drafted him. Maybe it was "elite" in the BC Hockey league?

That’s huge. I really think young players should have sports therapists those first years. It’s a major head game

Perfectly said! His mindset is so impressive. Just seems to be comfortable running things

If Ken Holland were still Red Wings GM I'm not convinced that Danny Cleary wouldn't be on the taxi squad.
