Thanks Carol.
Lord Humus, Podkolzin is going -3 tonight vs the superior tank teams of the NHL prospects. |

Thanks Carol.
I think most of the Pods debate here rages around a few misinformed people slotting him into a top 6 position without ever playing a shift for the Canucks. |

Those are probably the same people that as Carol mentioned, said that EP is too thin and Hughes is too small.
I mean they had never played a game either. Yet somehow, not sure how but did end up being top 6 and top 4 D. I have no idea how or why or what but when they had never played a game. |

From the last blog
One of the softest guys on the team (Tanev ) is gone and replaced by Schmidt. I don't believe he is soft.
Brock and Sutter are soft and they are probably playing their last year here. Stecher was on the soft side gone.
I think Canucks now have more guys on the team that will fight than they have had in the last decade. Myers Roussel Jake Mackewen JTM Bo Beagle have all answered the bell , unlike the old days where Marchand was allowed to speed bag Daniel while his twin brother watched. |

Vancouver has a very passionate fan base that loves to draft prospects. Their only issue is they hate playing them.
I remember very well the debates of the summers that Petey was too thin , Hughes too small and Brock wasn't ready.
Much like Podkolzin and his great challenge of knocking off Loui Eriksson and his 7 goals (4 empty netters) off the second line. I have full confidence that Podz will immediately step into that slot unless power forward Sven Baertschi has a good year. |

Can just tell who did and didn't read the blog.
Carol mentioned them but had to change the spelling error in Petey being to "think" and not "thin"
Yeah come back year for Sven. He's what they need on that 3rd line. |

I actually did read the blog but thanks for being concerned. I read her comments about Petey and Quinn also. - VANTEL

What was it you wanted written down yesterday? Something about a BCHL defensemen? |

It is a very low bar set for someone to come in and steal that second line spot. A lot of other teams have the same issue so I am not complaining. Very few teams have six solid top 6 forwards and usually after number four there is a drop off.

Hoglander......the forgotten one, has a better chance than Podkolzin to crack a spot in the Canucks top six. Kids older and having success playing against men, something Podkolzin is not. |

Does anyone really remember who was with Bossy Trotter, Gretzky Kurri, etc. You need someone that can fit the role needed for the top lines. |

CAm Robinson said that Viktor Persson has been recalled by his SHL team. Isn't playing but I'm penciling him into the line up for 2024 on 3rd pairing RHD. |

Clark Gillies and Dave Semenko, Gillies was actually a very good player and as tough as they come, Semenko was much like Beagle, a role player with a Cup ring |

Aren't you the guy who promised us Canucks fans that Luongo would retire and would never consider retirement. |
