Ben Shelley: Breaking down Anaheim's training camp roster

Zegras is a lock. We don't have anyone with that kind of skill set .. why waste a yr in SD when he already is one of our best skill F's. Him on the PP is just so killer that we'd be better just with him on the half wall.

Curran and Djoos should be the 3rd pair. Murray didn't give a 2yr contract to a 31 yr old not to play big minutes. Plus he can and does play the RS as a lefty which is nice and has a bomb from the point which we also need.

The taxi squad scenario takes a lot of the drama out of training camp. Most of these guys will be up with Anaheim in one form or another. The Zegras situation is really interesting now. He's definitely been the best player in the Juniors tournament and the AHL season doesn't start until Feb. 5th so there will be a lot of games for him to play in before the AHL starts. As for some Ducks fans worrying about burning a year on his contract, screw that! This kid looks to be, at the very least, the next Getzlaf for the Ducks and he might be even better. He actually shoots the puck if the defender is over-playing the pass. Imagine that?!?!
