It feels like last season ended yesterday!
Anyway, I posted this at the end of last blog, but.
Flyers +1700 to win the cup
Anyone see any other hockey futures they like?
Hart +1000 for Vezina. Leader is Vasilevsky @ +600
I put $20 on Hart for Vezina and the Flyers to win. |

Let's go boys! Fast start tonight and for the season. Solid 4 lines. Cahta Haht in goal. D will be alright.
It will be interesting to see how Ghost performs with Provy when he returns. That could possibly be a key to the season. One of many. |

I put money down on TB and Colorado to be the final 2.
Mackinnon to win the Hart, Hart to win the Vezina, Eichel to win the Art Ross. And also put a small bet on Flyers to get to finals and one for them to win.

Yep.. I am pumped for the start.. It's gonna be a dog fight in this division to make the top 4 but we should if we stay healthy and the d can perform well. Replacing Nisky somehow is the key IMO. |

It's fun isn't it! Like I said I did Flyers and Hart, but since you brought it up.....
I might put a 10 spot on MacKinnon and McDavid each for MVP just to hedge |

just gives a big effort game and lets hope the Zebra's don't get into the game. Whenever it is Pitt you have to walk the line or end up in the box. Flyers did a real good job last season not giving up high danger shots, I think that is where no Nisk hurts. I think the only way Pitt makes the playoffs is if they get enough PP time.
Stay out of the box |

Can someone explain the taxi squad? I can't seem to find a definitive list of the rules. I get that players must clear waivers in order to be placed on the squad. But, once they are there, can they only play for the NHL, if required? Or, can they move freely between the NHL and AHL without having to clear waivers again?
Also, once a player is called up to the NHL, does their salary have any bearing on the team's total cap hit? If not, it seems like an easy way to just get around the salary cap this year by hiding high-dollar players in the squad. |

I agree with Colorado, and likely T Bay. The East is open IMO.
I hope the linear progression continues for the team, but would not be shocked if we took a step back before moving to really contend. The Div is killer and we will need Hart to at least play the same as the end of last year to have a shot IMO. The forwards look great if Patrick is truly back better than before. At the end of the day, I believe it was our lack of PP that killed us in the playoffs. In 2010, remember how good the PP was? I felt we were going to score every time. That didn't happen last playoff. It actually sucked momentum, and it eventually cost us. This HAS to be rectified. |

Who is goping to be Jim Jackson's side kick when Jonsey can't be there? Please tell me it will not be Al Morganti, it was painful Sunday listening to him |

Scott Hartnell will do color on the games -- there's only a couple -- that Jonesy has national TV commitments for the same night. |

I just had a feeling that Eichel having Taylor Hall on his wing may juice his goal scoring to Art Ross level.
Its a Pascals wager, risk a little to gain a lot.

Explain yourself. - Ftown19125
Some people love the setup for this season. It feels gimmicky (even though I know they had to do what they had to do). Some teams have a cake-walk, while this division is a gauntlet.
No fans for some teams, other teams get fans.
It just doesn’t feel like a level playing field across the board if that makes sense.
I also still don’t love their offseason, but am thrilled Patty and Oskar are healthy. |
