That kid should be embarrassed, entitled little puke. He quit on his teammates, that's unacceptable! They need to have a closed door meeting and tell him if he's not with them, he's against them.
You don't see Patrick Laine lollygagging around out there, he's scoring, sticking up for his teammates....PLD should give his salary back if he's not going to try. |

I think they should probably move on from Torts. He is successful as a coach in terms of a record but its obvious guys don't want to play for the tyrant (See Panarin, Bobrovsky, Duchene and now Dubois). Its the old saying - if you think everyone else is the problem then maybe its you. |

I’d make that trade if I’m the NJ GM......ONLY IF, PLD wants to play in NJ. Which begs the question, why would he want to play in NJ as we’re rebuilding? |

Disagree, Torts is a top coach in my opinion

Ek it would be great if you could post a video of other bad shifts and kinda walk us through what's happening on the ice. That would be pretty enlightening. Just an idea for you.
Zacha and Butcher have close to zero value. So when you say draft picks you hopefully mean an unprotected 1st as a starting point. Maybe a 3-way with Gaudreau or JVR + Ghost? |

They way he showed on playing the ice, just shows what type of a player he is. Even he does get traded, what makes him not doing the same thing to them because he isn't happy. Too much red flags for me no matter how good he is. |

No one is disagreeing that he is a great coach but I hope the GM is in on these exit meetings because there seems to be a trend. |

what trend, a rental player didn't want to stick around and 2 UFA's wanted to cash in for more then 10 mil a year elsewhere?
it's a small market team that's why those 3 left for more money
as for dubois, he wanted out before the season, and torts is a demanding coach
some players love to put in the work, others don't

As a Devils Fan I would want that trade as well, only if he agrees to extend. There may be something about Torts that we aren't hearing about. Great Coach - Gets the most out of his players - but why do so many want to run away from him? Bob, Breadman....I do see a pattern here. All Top quality players that have established the Bluecoats as contenders year in and year out, but still want out. Not many players want to leave a winning team. |

PLD will not perform for NJ. He wants to go to Montreal, but Montreal cannot afford to wait for 2-3 wks to get him in the line-up. But if they could get away from giving up Kotkaniemi or Suzuki this might work:
Danault + Armia + Poehling + a 2nd for PLD

That was a bad shift - especially toward the end when he really didn't even attempt to play the puck OR the man.
Is this an outlier shift though? Or is he regularly like this when on the ice. |

Bob and Breadman wanted a big market team and $10M+ AAV. And frankly, CBJ do not miss Bob! Duchene under performed there. Yeah they should have gotten something for them, but on paper that was a Stanley Cup contender.

PLD for Elias Peterson.
Canucks look awful and EP has been a big part of the issue. Not sure if he’s hiding an injury or what? |

Its definitely an older style of coaching... Its fading fast (See Babcock in Toronto). Players were a little tougher mentally back in the day. The league isn't as tough as it used to be and the newer generations are a little bit softer. Some players... mainly the older ones still respond to that style of coaching. But I can personally say from my Junior and College hockey days that there some players respond well and some really don't to the old tyrant snapshow coaching. As time progresses there will be more in the second category. |

If the CBL players are with Torts on this issue PLD should be sent home and moved ASAP.
If the players side with PLD then its likely time for Torts to go.
My guess is PLD will go.
I hope the Flames are not in on him after watching that shift and body language last night! |
