Carol Schram: Canucks make lineup changes: Eriksson & Bailey draw in Saturday vs. Leafs Looking for a spark that will change his team's fortunes, Travis Green looks to be inserting Loui Eriksson and Justin Bailey up front as the Vancouver Canucks look to bounce back from Thursday's 7-3 loss in their second game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.

Hopefully less pain tonight. But, with Loui in the lineup, everything is set against background of pain...

Starting to lose interest in the season already, hope the boys can start playing like men.

Until they can Quinn to play the system there is little point in tinkering with the lineup. Its great that he can play at a point per game pace, but his penchant for constantly being out-of-position and/or delaying puck movement is having an extreme adverse effect on team offensive and defensive structure.

This is striking similar to the impact PK Subban had on the Canadians. Many fans there also loved the apparent flashes of offensive brilliance without understanding the damage it was doing to team cohesiveness. Green and his staff need to hold Quinn to the standard and get him to conform to the program. Its no surprise the team looks completely dishevelled when 1D continues to play pond hockey.

Unless something is done the players will rebel against this lack of accountability.

Have a good Saturday everyone

And green/Benning playing LE and Bailey, moving the hardest working top 6 winger to the bottom 6, and sitting juolevi, macewen, gaudette and virtanen is insanely stupid. It's not really hard to see why the locker room might be lost, hard to build good will with your coach and management/players when "pu$$y-magnet" and Bailey get inserted for the wrong players.

@Vantel, I am also surprised that Montreal is having a hard time scoring against Ottawa, but had such an easy time against the Canucks with all the Calder trophy winner/nominees, the future Norris, Rocket Richard, Selke and Hart trophy winners in the line-up.

If he continues to be a defensive liability Green needs to sit him like other players who don't play properly.

Comets look promising, something else to focus on. I’m thinking Woo might have made his debut but haven’t been able to track down confirmation one way or another

Yes, Woo played.

At a quick glance, I think it was him, Focht and Lockwood making their pro debuts among the Canucks prospects. Did I miss anybody?

The team sucks, but do they deserve to sit any more than Beagle, roussel, sutter, motte, miller, hughes? Macewen has shown more fight than 90% of the roster.

I don't understand why Benning is allowing Green to ruin a few more of his promising draft picks by playing them with Sutter.

Sutter and Pearson score a few goals and people forgive/forget the fact that they have been equally as bad as everyone else.

As far as I'm concerned, if you're name isn't hoglander, benn, macewen, horvat, schmidt and boeser, you should be sitting for how poorly you have played/tried as of late

The bottom 6 (minus Virtanen and Gadette ) has been the only bright spot other than Hog. Do Miller And Hughes deserve to sit? Maybe, but we can’t win without them as we don’t have enough depth so they will always play

Hughes hasnt been very good defensively, but he drives the offence more anyone and has since game one.
