How easy for us to forget those who make the Wheel turn. Recall the pain when Vladdy & "The masseur, whose name was not immediately known, also suffered head injuries and was undergoing surgery, Cisek said. .." were in that horrific accident.....the quote above was what the papers said....the forgotten man: Sergei Mnatsakanov. Unknown, unheralded, unappreciated. But loved by players, & staff.

Detroit has seen its share of pain & loss. Sergei Tchekmarev. A man, an unspoken professional, cherished, part of the legacy that is HockeyTown.

Rest peacefully, Cheecka. Your work kept dreams alive. You are known, loved, respected, valued, remembered. You are part of us; YOU, good Sir, are part of the lore of HockeyTown.

The Blashill presser after the game was hard to watch, he was a man that clearly meant a lot to the organization and was well loved by everyone. RIP to him and condolences to his family.

Let's have a better effort today Wings, there's always those one or two blowout games a season, so I doubt this will be another one.

LGW!

It was evident that there was a lot of shock and pain with his passing. Another member of the famed Soviet team (staff) and Detroit benefitted from his knowledge and sense of humor. Is already dearly missed

So sudden and sad. It sounds like he was a great guy.

For sure, and a great sense of humor. It’s amazing how many great minds were assembled for the Red Army team. He was a walking history book
