If I were Montreal I would stand pat with this group, Toronto needs to shore up the blueline to go deep Into the playoffs the Leafs also have to get some of there young forwards to be a little more responsible defensively. Bobby Ryan shouldn't be on anyone's priority list.

Can you imagine a line featuring Sam Bennett, Sam Gagner and Samson Reinhart? You could call it the Mary Samsonite line.

I would give up a 3rd and a B prospect if we got him early enough. Ryan would be a nice addition.

I think Montreal would be more interested in a guy like Ryan. Montreal needs some offence to make them a really threat this year, I just don’t think a guy like Ryan tips the scales. I think the Leafs need to focus on a guy like Bennett. I would love to see them get some more bottom 6 grit. If I was Toronto I would focus on 3 players: Eric Staal, Sam Bennett and Ryan Getzlaf. I know Staal and Getz have big contracts so that would mean Anaheim retaining salary and Kerfoot going the other way.

Getzlaf has said he's not waiving his NTC. It's Anaheim or retirement.

Bobby Ryan to a Canadian team makes no sense, what with the quarantine. Ryan to Vegas, Tampa, St. Louis, Wash, Car or Florida makes a ton of sense.

Heck, any proficient, two way player who can score goals and is good in the room and makes a million or less would be great for any team making a playoff push.
