Sometimes he tries to do too much when the simple play was there. That's what he needs to focus on completely if Keefe gives him a shot this year.

Galchenyuk had a nice goal last night, too. More noticeable was that he was the first forward back a lot of the time. I think he's trying to show he can play a responsible bottom six style of game. We'll see.

Might not be an easy game, he's rockin a .923 SP with a shutout and is 4 and 1 in 5 starts. Maybe the Leafs need to bring in Sabourin to give him the Gallagher/Krieder special.

Its a simple deal, which allows the Maple Leafs to move a player to the minors without loosing an asset to waivers. With players like Campbell and Simmons on the cusp of returning to the roster, absent this trade, the Leafs would have to begin waiving players. Lehtonen was likely near the top of this list, so rather lose than him for nothing, they made this deal which provided a capable AHL/ECHL goalie in return.

Liljegren has been the Marlies best player for 3 years now. I am very hopeful that he can transition that to the Leafs. It'll be difficult, but it'd be great if he can.
