I was away at a wedding this past weekend, which is why I wasn’t able to get any content up for you guys. Should be back to normal scheduling now!
Glad to hear we’re back to getting a game day post every third game.
How about you take covid seriously, Todd. You travelled and attended a wedding!? Wtfffff dude |

Maybe a rhetorical question... but here's an answer anyways.

Thanks!!! This is what I wanted to know.
It's going to be an interesting offseason with teams trying to shed salary.
Was reading that Nashville might leave both Johansen and Duchene available for Seattle.
Not sure how to feel that after 7 years of rebuilding Calgary will not be losing a forward of worth. |

Fuk that’s been Treliving plan for the last 2 expansion drafts. Now that we got those out of the way, watch him soar.
I don’t think he’ll get fired this year after signing that extension last year. Flames owners are too cheap for that, but I would think this is his last kick at the can next year. He needs to rock a trade or 2 to save his a$$. I hope it doesn’t lead to more stupid ufa’s signing.
Hey Todd how about a blog on the Flames prospects? Francis just named qmjhl player of the week. Zary’s averaging 2 pts a game with Kamloops. Wolf names goalie of the month a while go.
So does anyone think Ruz will get a shot? Nice that they brought him up but man I’d like to see him in for a few games.
Domi healthy scratch in Columbus. Think there’s anything there for the Flames?
Would anyone consider trading Tkachuk to Ottawa for Stutzel? (Sp)
What if it’s revealed he’s the problem in the room. Then?
What would StLouis give up for Chucky?
If the Flames decide to rebuild might be our best trading chip.
Like Sutter saying the reason he moved Tanev with Gio was so he didn’t have to cover for for Rasmus and could concentrate on being Gio.
My take is Tanev can cover for him better than Anderson. What you guys think?
I personally would rather see the Flames make the post season, but don’t think it’s going to happen. If they lose a few and are out of it. What’s the chances we see some Heat players make their debut? Sutters pretty loyal to the old guys but it would be a perfect time for evaluation.
This blog forum gets hardly any interest and it’s too bad for Todd. If I could suggest one change it would be to drop the 5 points. Thanks for reading everybody, get out and enjoy the nice weather. |

Ruzicka needs a chance to play - big body, plays a premium position. He's not overly physical from what I recall, so might be just another Jankowski, but you need to play him to find out. Nordstrom should not be occupying his roster spot IMO
Wouldn't touch Domi at this point - brutal cap hit for his production and think his confidence is in the toilet.
Tkachuk for Stutzle - think the Sens say no to that one. They've got plenty of wingers and not enough down the middle. |

Like Warrener said on the radio yesterday, once they are eliminated you will see the Stockton prospects get games... with 12 games left its likely the last 5 or so we will see Ruzicka, Philips, Mackey etc.
Domi... not with a 10 foot pole... there's a reason he's been on 3 teams in 4 years! Also that 5.3 mil contract is an albatross in a flat cap.
JG is the big one moving on this summer not Chucky but at 6.75 million we will have to take money back or settle for an underwhelming package.
There will be a ton of crappy contracts unprotected to Seattle this year... if you're not performing to expectation, make north of 6-7 million and don't have a NMC, you're available versus losing young low cost players.

People really harp on JG not playing defense or backchecking but Tkachuk gets a pass. That 3 on 2 could've been avoided had he just skated. The third guy was on his side of the ice and he just coasted while JG busted his ass to get back.
Tkachuk has been a shell of himself for much of this season. |

... immediately after the game in which Brett Ritchie fights Josh Brown and 3 games after Lucic beat the crap out of Sabourin... lol
Flames are 9th in the NHL in fighting majors and have 2 guys inside the top 20 in hits this season.
By trading Bennett and playing Ritchie more, we've actually become... tougher. Ritchie has thrown almost as many hits in 21 games as Sam threw in 40... He's fought more too. We're not soft.
Sam's playing on a high right now, working to impress a new coach. Check back in 5-10 games and see how he's doing then

All the pressure has been taken off of 25-year-old Sam Bennet and now he just has to play his game. He is playing with a team that has something to prove and with some decent quality linemates to boot. I have watched the highlights from the Florida games and he is making simple plays and they are paying off. But......he has not suddenly blossomed and become the player we had always hoped for. You can blame Calgary management and coaches all you want but Sam had his chances here and never managed to stick in the top 6.
I predict he will get signed to a nice raise and end up with the same consistency issues he had in Calgary. He would have done better under Sutter but that is now water under the bridge.

Its a good thing the Flames have all these prospects drafted in the past 5 years that are about to make a presence. I mean their pipeline is just flush right now with the likes of???
Whats there for upper tier prospects? Zary, wolf, and???
Think twice before chirping another teams future before looking at yours poophead. |
