the only thing i am not 100% sure is that SEA would NOT pick Price.
I think they very well could.

So what if they do? Helllllllllllllllo cap space and i guess time share between Allen and Primeau next year. I think it would be better for Primeau to partner with Allen than with Price, he’d get more games that way

oh I totally agree, but I doubt we'll have a chance to verify that. MB will protect Price. if he's still the GM that is.

like you reminded me, his contract only ends next year.
Habs will make the playoffs.
I'd be surprised if Molson fires MB this summer, even if they lose in round 1.

I don’t know...the team really failed to meet the expectations so far and Molson spent to the limit...might make a difference

Also remember when Therrien was fired? All happened very fast because a good (according to most people) french speaking coach was available...With Roy having an agent and looking like he wants in, that could trigger something

they aren't taking price unless you add some sugar. a lot of sugar. wtf is an expansion team going to commit that much cap space to an average at best goalie?

take a look at all the UFA goalies out there this summer. they can find the same performance for a lot cheaper and use the cap space far better.

They will never have a better chance of succeeding in the playoffs than this year, with the canadian division. next year back with the normal divisions it will be tougher to make the playoffs imo, and tougher to win a playoffs round.
so yes, if that is the best they can do with so much money tied up in Price and Weber, like you wrote, it is time to trade them both and move forward.
perso, no need to wait and see. the sooner the better.

I am a HUGE Patrick Roy fan... He was my first jump into the deep end of the loving the Habs pool, and there's been no looking back.

If he was GM, he may make decisions that aren't popular, including on the language barrier around coaching... If nothing else, it would be interesting!

quite possible yes.
but also possible that they want a big name, like Vegas did with Fleury. I'm not saying they would pick him 100%, I'm saying it's not impossible.

I really don't want Roy to be the GM, but that being said, the guy has the balls to do what you stated, and what lots of people have been asking to happen. I don't think the Kraken take Price, but I can see them taking Weber, possibly looking to trade him at the deadline to a contender or a team looking to hit the cap floor without spending full actual dollars.

But more importantly, Roy would have the personality to tell Molson to keep out of his way, which might be just what is needed most.

The Habs will make the playoffs unless the Flames basically run the table and the Habs stumble. What really sucks from a flames fan perspective if they didn’t have a losing record against the Sens they would probably be 4 or 6 points up. Anyways beat the Leafs in the 1st round please.

fleury was still playing well. pitt just decided to go with the younger and cheaper murray. which turned out to be a mistake.

price can't even stay healthy and the fans in seattle couldn't care less about price's name is my guess.

i think you are going to be surprised at how well a team does in seattle.
