The preds have really turned it around here lately!
I'm glad to see it!
I am from philadelphia but have loved in Nashville since the inaugural season here and have watched both the sport as well as the love for the sport grow in this city
There really is no better hockey arena anywhere in the NHL

Decent blog today Paul. While I do agree every team needs at least one guy willing to get nasty, having several of them is a big part of the reason the Preds are so mismatched against teams like Carolina, Florida, and Tampa. They just can't keep up with the speed, depth, and talent of those times, which is likely going to lead to a swift exit if the Preds do make the playoffs. I've been hard on Poile lately, but I can't blame him for building a team to go up against the heavier teams in the West just to end up getting tossed in a makeshift division with a bunch of teams built just the right way to put you in your place.

Preds have to win the next two games against Columbus. The Preds have barely even been competitive in the games against Carolina this year, so lose one to Columbus and you're leaving the door wide open for Dallas to sneak in. Either that, or hope Carolina has clinched by then and is completely disinterested in those two games.

MEH.. These Preds are bottom feeders, the last three games are against the Hurricanes, I don't think that is going to be a easy ride. I think Dallas gets past us, Fire HYNES. The Preds are a paper tiger.... Not worth getting worked up over.

Actually, the Preds have one more game against Columbus. Win that one and they're essentially in the Playoffs. Dallas would have to get seven points in their last four to pass them assuming the Preds lose both games to Carolina, which I am unless Carolina is completely disinterested by that point.

Unfortunately, Hynes will not be getting fired. Bottom feeding or not, that miraculous streak they went on despite all the injuries was probably going to be enough to save his job, and making the PO's will all but clinch it. He does deserve some credit for the run they went on, but Hynes will likely get more than he deserves. Just like Poile will get away with putting another mediocre product on the ice.

He's more focused on his aspiring music career. It would be disasterous if someone crosschecked him in the throat. You'd think the team playing so much better while he was hurt would motivate this clown.
