Sorry... The Sharks needs to rebuild and clear up some cap space since they're tied down with the ridiculous EK65 and Vlasics contracts for years to come. I love Burns but he has to be exposed. Couture, Labanc, and Meiers are overpaid so expose them as well.

They're not giving up a draft pick to protect Balcers. If they protect him over Gambrell it's because they like his trajectory more, even though Gambrell has been in the organization longer.
I wouldn't protect Gambrell...he has been a disappointment and his trajectory is well below that of Balcers...I'd protect Simek and expose Burns too...and dare the Kraken to take on that contract
