If Schmidt was involved in a deal for Jones, they would free up a significant amount of space. Not sure what else would have to be included though.
I agree with you on the injury prone stuff, in regards to Elias, and the dollar amount for signing Elias. Anywhere in the 6.5-7.5 is a fair deal for both sides.

What a difference once Mangiapane joined the team. I'd love to find a way to steal Comtois out of Anaheim - kids gonna be a beast in the near future. Nice to see Stecher have a strong tourney - I think at some point he's gonna have a great career in Europe - he's much better suited for the big ice. All in all not a very strong team considering some of the players that declined.

Comtois is a nice player. Be happy to get him.

Honestly, think they should have started at the top. Just kidding about being fired. It’s literally in the job description of NHL Executives:

-Provide leadership and direction in your department.
-Be a positive influence on employees and in the community.
-Be prepared to be fired, because it will happen sooner than later.
-Encourage growth and development from players and other team members.

I mentioned Don Granato as a guy who could be a good assistant if Buffalo moves on. Muller would be a good candidate. Dave Lowry maybe. If they decide not to bring back the same people, I hope they cast a wide net and interview several people. Maybe what’s his name from Utica as a next step to the NHL?

I am surprised Canada won the gold, some on here had suggested that the Canadians have been surpassed by our neighbors to the south...oh yeah, that was that Nucker guy, he doesn't know much.
