Unless it’s a major overpay don’t see Hyman going to Detroit. The others could be an option, none of them will break the bank or dent the cap anyway. Also they could look at getting an opportunity with a building club like the Wings.

Honestly I love Hyman's style of play, but I look at who he typically played with and you have to think his numbers were a little inflated due to that. Not saying Detroit doesn't have talent, just not that talent. Don't think he's worth the term or dollars for us considering where we are at and where he will be when we are seriously competitive. Just my opinion, take it or leave it. No need for roasting or any nonsense.

I agree on terms/dollars. He’s taken a discount for a lot of years. I want him to get what he can, and I don’t think Detroit’s the place to do it. The part of his skill set that translates is his energy, how he plays and I think he’ll do well. I wish Detroit was ready for him, honestly. I really like the player. I wouldn’t blame him if he went to Seattle (assuming they would pay top dollar and top term with all that cap space). I don’t think you’ve said anything out of line. Toronto has a system and players that look for scoring. Thanks for chiming in!

I agree on all points. Fabbri got minutes in Detroit he wouldn’t in STL and did well with them. The opportunity is wide open. It’s very possible that one team’s 3rd liner could be top 6 in Detroit.

I really appreciate you dropping by. I know it’s a later post.

I left Josh Ho-sang off the list. He is a right shot, and can play center. Honestly, he just doesn’t seem to be able to mesh with teammates. I don’t think he’s the best fit for the room.

There is give-and-take about playing on the off-wing. It's a better shooting angle (more of a one-timer threat in particular) but it also means being on the backhand in board battles.

Hyman is the best of the bunch, but he is not coming here because he wants a cup more than a red sweater. He would be over-priced anyway. I really like Armia, but don't we have enough bottom six players?? I guess he would be 2nd line now as our team stands. Armia would be a good add, and I am sure there would be room made for him, his age suggests a 3-4 yr deal max, though.

Hosang could sign a 2 way show me contract! This would be a good value signing and Detroit could play him against Pittsburgh exclusively and assign him sweater #66!!!!!

Most likely you are correct. But...perhaps the Toronto media has scared the guy out of town. This team is going to be one heck of a team to watch over the next few years. Y is just sitting back and watching the team he built win another cup, and sitting on a ton of great prospects waiting out their prime years. Can't wait to see Seider hit the NHL. From all reports, he is far and away the toughest, and most skilled D wherever he has played to date.

Interested to see if the Wings or my Devs use their cap space to their full advantage and scoop up some notable's that otherwise would be forfeited to the Kraken.

Be very cautious of Armia. His skillset is unreal, but he can't skate to save his life. Mtl has a system that doesn't promote speed, helping Perry, Armia, Toffoli greatly. Most teams don't get away with that, and again, Armia had just 14 points this season. I'd pass on him. Leivo is a risk worth taking at 1M, and Hyman really is a great player all around. His work in the corners and speed up the wing seems to generate chances quite regularly, and he plays well with shut down lines, or the high skilled guys.

Tarasenko would take a trade out of St Louis to go anywhere at this point, according to sportsnet the Blues doctors in both surgeries missed ligament damage, and the 3rd surgery was done by non blues affiliated doctors to fix damage that they missed both times. The man doesn’t trust their doctors and honestly if they missed damage done after 2 surgeries l can’t blame him.
