That's actually what we want.

Suck during the regular season, sneak into the post-season, play low-event hockey relying on exceptional goaltending (that wasn't there during the regular season at all) and be constantly rewarded with luck to the finals.

Serious question....

Is the Evans kid, who got creamed in Winnipeg, good to have back in the line up for the Habs?

I mean, is he a good, young, highly-touted, rookie or.....basically who the fu2k is he?

If Hyman accepts $32 mill over 8 years but receives $30 mill in the first five years that is a good pay day. With this type of contract he gets traded for year six then bought out by the new team and resigns in TO. That is if he is still able to play after five years?

For Reilly you can do the same thing only at about $48 million.

Kerfoot is one cap casualty for sure but they need to sign another goaltender at $3 million or less.

This is all without doing some three team deals to get lower caps.

I wonder if Coyotes would hold $2 mill on Kessell so Kraken takes him then they hold $2 mill and trading him to the leafs? Leafs would have to give both teams picks and/or prospects but he would look pretty good with Marner and Matthews? People forget how good a passer he is. Might be a better trade deadline deal?

There are lots of possibilities out there?

...after watching all the rounds, Leafs are the only team who's star players and the rest of the players didn't show up and take/throw the body. Only team with the flybys in the playoffs.

I wonder what the hit stats show? (subtle hint since I lost the stats site that had hits counted)
