Great pick - if we had been picking #1 overall I would have still hoped to pick Eklund. Getting him at #7 is a steal!

Exactly the kind of player the Sharks need. Great attitude, compete level, plays with pace, elusive, great 200 foot game.

Now hopefully they don't rush the kid and screw up his development!

Sharks hit a home run with this pick. Eklund has the highest offensive ceiling of anyone in this draft. Not a 2 way player. His passing, agility and ability to make plays
are so high end that his defensive deficiencies can be tolerated.
