His style of play and transition game aligns pretty well with the canes imo. I think he’ll be a great add.

If he is inexpensive a 1 year deal, to see if he behaves might be worth it?

I mean… you could use this logic to excuse just about any human piece of garbage throughout history. Plenty of people have terrible parents and don’t end up poopty themselves. At some point it’s on him. Is that when he turns 18? 21? 25? 30?

I just don’t see him being capable of that kind of introspection/awareness/personal responsibility. But yea, the definition of human garbage is subjective. If you reserve it for violent criminals and cheaters than I guess he falls short

B) having at least two NHL teams decide they want nothing to do with him because of his attitude.

Sorry. But there are a lot of people who have worked extremely hard in the organization to build the brand of the Canes to be what it is, and signing a guy like DeAngelo (and possibly even Virtanen?!?!) is taking a huge poop all over all of that work.
