Not a big fan of Larry Brooks but I have to say his article makes a lot of since.

I also do not think you will hear about the other signings until he has resolved the LHD issue.

This wouldn’t have been done without Lou coming in and changing the culture of this team and turning it into a true contender. Shat signings and all.

Islanders are my pick to win the cup this coming season, as long as they can adequately replace Leddy and Eberle’s minutes and contributions. Any idea/suggestions what Lou might be thinking/do? Have to have depth too, losing Lee was a big setback

Not many teams have depth that replaces a first line wing like Lee. That said the team was one goal/game away from the SCF and lost to the eventual winner without him. With the rumored signings of their RFA/UFA’s they actually will have more depth at forward this coming season. You have to believe Lou is looking to fill Leddys minutes for sure but if he signs Parise, Palmieri and Lee’s back from injury, the Islanders have a better forward group than they iced in last years PO’s. Hopefully your cup prediction lands true.
