I wonder if the Olympics are in the back of Eichel's mind. The window of him being healthy enough by then might be closing.

I don't think so. I think he wants to play somewhere next year that isn't Buffalo, and his current agents aren't making it happen.

And Anderson may be old, but he's been in the league a long time. I'm glad they got a guy like him to mentor UPL along instead of trying to trade assets for another Lehner.

Do you know how that works? He was skating in Boston obviously, is it that he can practice but not play essentially?

I know they were furious when it was reported he was on the ice.

The Sabres? Why? How could they possibly think that would stay under wraps?

Oh, I agree, which would be why he would need to be traded ASAP, from his point of view.

If he's already suspended by then, there's little the Sabres could do besides put him on double secret probation

Because they knew nothing about it.
They found out the same time we did.

Jack needed surgery by August 1st to be healthy for the season. His agents ranted and raved because he is now slated to miss time. Surgery tomorrow, he's probably playing the last week of October, minimum. He still has plenty of time to get healthy (if disc replacement instead of fusion) for the olympics. He's simply angry that he has to miss time, as he should be.
Brisson is one of, if not the best agents in the NHL. He has a strong rapport with probably every team. He knows them, they know him. He can do things to maybe sway the minds of the GMs that The Peter's never could dream of. They were bush league and he's a pro's pro, and there's plenty of evidence of that.
Brisson can maybe apply pressure to Kevyn or any opposing GM to persuade a team to include what the Sabres want, or the Sabres to relax a demand.
There's a reason he controls the best players in the league. Cause he knows what the (frank) he's doing.
